Breast MRI is commonly performed at 1.5 T and 3 T. With recent advances in MR technology, breast imaging at 0.55 T is opening new possibilities and raising important questions regarding its potential clinical role.
In this session, the speaker will share her experience with breast MRI at 0.55 T and present selected clinical cases. She will provide insights into the clinical motivation behind exploring breast imaging at lower field strength, potential patient groups and clinical indications, as well as practical aspects of image acquisition and protocol adaptation.
Through an interactive case review, participants will gain an impression of the image quality and diagnostic information that can be achieved at 0.55 T. The session will also address factors influencing diagnostic confidence, current limitations, and the positioning of 0.55 T in relation to established breast MRI at 1.5 T and 3 T.
