There are many places in the world where access to healthcare can be a real challenge. Long and arduous journeys for a routine check-up or a quick chat with the doctor can quickly turn into a half or full day of commuting. Older patients, in particular, are less mobile and can easily lose contact with medical staff, putting their health at risk. This was one of the reasons why Salzburg, with its mountainous surroundings, was looking for a solution to bring patients from far away to the hospital virtually.
