    1. Atellica TTA

      In this example, the High Throughput Module is configured with Atellica® Solution and Aptio® Automation racks for sample input. The Multifunctional Base System is configured with a variety of different analyzer racks for direct sample sorting.

      In addition to offering a real-time view of all rack-loaded drawers for tube input processing or output sorting, the touchscreen user interface software is used to:
      • Store the position and a sample-check photo of each tube. This information can also be sent to the laboratory information system (LIS) or Atellica® Data Manager.
      • Enable operators to check the processing history of each tube.
      • Change input/output drawer and rack assignments.
      • Change user-defined operating modes throughout the day to support predefined workstreams, such as:
        Example 1: Sample reception and presorting for all sample types
        Example 2: Aliquoting and sorting for serum samples
        Example 3: Sorting and archiving of urine samples
        Example 4: Backup configuration of mirrored system 

      Client versions of the software can be installed on a PC with external bar-code scanner, enabling a centralized database for multiple Atellica Task Targeted Automation systems. 

       Leverage the power of IT to streamline lab operations by integrating Atellica Task Targeted Automation with Atellica Data Manager and Atellica Process Manager.

      Comprehensive sample tracking begins with input processing and ends with output sorting captured by an integrated bar-code reader.
      • Shielded design protects tube inside arm during transfers.
      • Included as mandatory component of Multifunctional Base System and High Throughput Module.
      • Supports input and/or output sorting depending upon overall system configuration.
      • Robotic arm provided with High Throughput Module also supports proper tube placement and transfer between Centrifuge Module and Multifunctional Base Module.

      Quickly detect and automatically manage mismatches between tube type and test requested based on:

      • Capped/uncapped state
      • Cap color
      • Tube type
      • Tube height/width
      •  Sample volume 

      Automatically send a picture of every tube to your lab information system or Atellica Data Manager.

      Reduce biohazard risk and simplify handling.
      • Automatically insert fin-style* stopper.
      • Recap primary and/or secondary tubes.

      *Designate 12–13 or 12 mm tubes.
       †Vision system is required for height/width detection if primary tube must be recapped.
    5. Decapper Module

      Increase staff safety and productivity while decreasing sample contamination risk. Automatically removes and safely discards a variety of tube closures:

      • Screw caps
      • Push-type, pressure plastic
      •  Rubber tops

      Support parallel analyzer testing and/or drive advanced clinical workflows and cost-effective sample storage.

      • Create up to nine labeled aliquot tubes at a time, with capability to support more when needed.
      • Aspirate from or dispense to standard SBS 96-well microplates. Standard ANSI SLAS 4-2004 (R2012)

        1D and 2D bar codes supported 

      Support parallel testing in distributed, multidisciplinary labs. Automate microplate preparation and handling for microbiology, drugs-of-abuse and infectious disease testing, and/or biobanking operations.

    7. Independent diagnostic testing can make it easier to bring new analyzers into your lab over time.

      Atellica Task Targeted Automation supports open, multidisciplinary labs.
      • Supports 30+ analyzer-specific and/or cost-efficient storage racks.
      • Centralize loading/unloading with analyzer racks for serum, plasma, whole-blood, and urine samples.
      • Change rack and drawer configuration at any time to optimize productivity based on your lab’s workflow patterns. 

       Atellica Task Targeted Automation simultaneously accommodates multiple tube types/sizes and a mix of spun/unspun samples. There is no need to standardize tubes or presort samples.

    8. Centrifuge Module

      Set independent, adjustable parameters to help optimize TAT and prioritize STAT sample processing.

      • Adjustable parameters include speed, spin time, and temperature.
      • Continuous loading/unloading achieved using efficient three-lane design.
      • Automatically place tubes across and/or within buckets to ensure balanced weight. 

      *High Throughput Module is required to support Centrifuge Module.

    9. High Throughput Module

      Increase system throughput from 500 to 1000 tubes per hour and increase tube capacity.
      • Includes two dedicated input drawers and one robotic arm with bar-code reader. Six drawers in Multifunctional Base Module are then automatically dedicated to output sorting.
      • Supports tube placement on main track and tube transfer between Centrifuge Module and Multifunctional Base System.
      • Interior space can be used to house optional air compressor.
      Add this module in the future as your needs change.
